Scope of Position

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

Although the scope and focus of the day to day activities within the role will change dependent on business requirements, the following should be considered the core activities:

 

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of upstream and downstream commercial contracts across various areas of the business (including software licensing, software development, support and maintenance and supplier arrangements) 
  • Liaising with colleagues to ascertain business requirements and identifying the associated legal considerations
  • Advising colleagues across the company on day-to-day business issues (including commercial, e-commerce and internet, IP, data protection, NDAs, procurement and tendering)
  • Participation in the structuring, drafting, negotiating and implementation of agreements associated with corporate transactions such as joint ventures, acquisitions and other strategic alliances
  • Providing information and direction to external legal advisors
